SEO is the way to go.

Your secret sauce for sustainable scaling is all about creating evergreen content that compounds over time.

If you haven’t started leveraging SEO content, you’re building your business on quicksand, where every brick you lay (or post you make) only exists for a minimal amount of time. You’re forced to ALWAYS be contributing new content to keep your brand afloat.

The biggest problems at this stage:

  1. MANUAL MARKETING: There’s no long-term evergreen content in place, and the entire business is running on fumes. YOUR fumes. You either show up and deliver, or no one gets paid. Not only that, ALL of your content and marketing efforts rely on OTHER platforms to do all the marketing, outreach, connection, and nurturing FOR you. The biggest issue of scaling without a website or email list is you not owning your assets and not having complete control over how you track and collect data from your audience.
  2. ADDICTION TO INSTANT GRATIFICATION: There’s no “easy” or “nice” way to put this; Social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, though great at many things, are DESIGNED FOR DISTRACTION. The entire purpose of these apps is to encourage folks always to create MORE content, engage with MORE posts, and spend MORE time online; why? That’s how they profit. And when WE, as the users, our benefiting from constantly creating, it can feel silly to consider that the way we’re currently doing business may not be best for our long-term business goals.
  3. OVERCOMPLICATING SEO: The sound of “SEO” often terrifies most folks who hear it and go blank. The reality is SEO is simple. Does it require a bit of a learning curve to grasp the fundamentals of how Search Engines work to reap the most significant rewards? Absolutely. But would you rather spend the time and money learning the algorithm that’s been CONSISTENT for the last 25+ years OR keep trying to relearn all the social platforms that are constantly updating their user interface and changing their algorithms every 6-months to a year? The choice is yours.
  4. TRYING TO WING IT: Are you familiar with the phrase, “what worked to get you here won’t get you there?” Well, that couldn’t be more true when we begin planning for SEO-Marketing and evergreen content. UNLIKE social media, where you fly by your pants; SEO-Marketing and evergreen content require real intention, consistency, and clarity in your strategy with plenty of preparation.

The biggest shift in going from relying solely on social media marketing to SEO is remembering that SEO IS A LONG-TERM GAME!

The fact is, if you’ve made it to this phase in your business, you have less of a “problem” and far more of an “inconvenience” because you DO make plenty of sales on social, you’ve nailed content creation, and you’ve likely also got a flow for how you show up on stories;

But the real question is…

how long do you want to keep doing things the way you’re doing them?

Here's the the thing...

We live in a hyper-fixated culture fueled by quick wins, fast cash, and quantum leaps that don’t consider our decisions’ long-term IMPACT on those around us.

This thinking breeds a self-centered business model prioritizing SPEED over equity and sustainability.

It’s the premise of toxic capitalism and the culture of Woke Money Mercenaries.

And can show up in hand full of ways:

  • Overpromising and selling services or products we aren’t qualified or prepared to deliver
  • Over-investing and putting ourselves in risky financial situations that compromise our sense of discernment and character
  • Taking on more than we can adequately handle and jeopardizing the health & well-being of ourselves or the container we’re meant to be leading.
  • Unconsciously perpetuating unethical and problematic practices rooted in a predatory and racist history
  • Constantly launching new shiny offers without ever fully optimizing previous ones

At the center of everything is…

What if you could take the time to intentionally decide how you want to grow that honors your personal needs and values?

That’s right.

A way for you to finally get your life back and have a way of experiencing yourself and the world that isn’t drowning in business, work, clients, and sales.

Believe it or not, a world exists where you can create the same (or more) level of revenue while working a fraction of the time you are now.

(This is the part where we share that this is precisely what we teach and do. 😉)

We believe there are 4 core phases to equitable business and sustainable scaling

(all of which are in chronological order)

Create an ethical and sustainable offer and pricing model you can equitably scale online without burning yourself out.

Streamline and automate your client delivery, sales, and onboarding processes to increase your growth capacity.

Build a website-centered business and quality brand with assets you own that showcase your expertise in the industry.

Compound growth through the power of SEO & Email Marketing, enabling you to make sales on autopilot for years to come.

If you've landed on this page, it means your primary goal is working through:

Phase 4: Scaling through SEO Marketing & Evergreen Content

So you can equitably scale on auto-pilot for years to come.

AN intro to seo

What is SEO? Search Engine Optimization

An SEO strategy means your content is shown as a result of people searching for a solution to their problem or answering their questions on Search Engines like Google.

Search engines determine which content provides the best information makes on Keywords. Keywords categorize and rank your content in search engines that correlate with what people are searching for.

This means, instead of constantly posting on Instagram and Facebook competing with the algorithms and disruption marketing, you get to focus on VALUE and QUALITY content that is highly searched by people who WANT to find you.

Instead of paying for ads to get your content in front of audience members, search engines like Google and YouTube will automatically push your content out to users SEARCHING for answers at no charge.

Benefits of SEO on Your Website

  • Build Online Real Estate that you own and control
  • Develop a lead generation strategy that compounds over time
  • Gain credibility as a “go-to” expert that people are searching for
  • Grow your email list without needing to post on social media constantly
  • Create Evergreen content that will build your brand indefinitely
  • No more 24/hour social media burnout cycle
Before you can genuinely rely on mastering SEO power, you’ll want to get started with a high-quality brand and SEO-optimized website as the centerpiece of your evergreen machine.

Here’s what we need to start building our email list:

    1. Create a powerful Opt in to move people off social media and onto your email list: an asset you own where you’re not 100% dependent on the FB & IG algorithm to give you visibility and reach.

What’s something people would love to get as an absolute value add freebie that you can create and send out to the ethers for everyone to say yes to and join your list?

    2. Have the funnel ready: Three pages, real simple: opt-in, confirm the subscription, and thank you page to download the freebie.

    3. WRITE THE EMAIL SEQUENCE: This is one of THE MOST IMPORTANT STEPS. Have a powerful nurture sequence prepped and ready to go that will dazzle and wow your new community members with the massive amount of value and depth you bring to their inbox every week that allows them to want to stay connected and on your list.
This is more than enough to get you started and begin moving everyone off social onto your own actual platform. We won’t be diving too deep into SEO at this stage since you’ll need an active email list and website to leverage SEO.

Email Marketing Principles:
  • Be sure you’re emailing your list consistently, ideally once weekly.
  • Keep your emails straightforward; no need to overdo them.

Often folks who’ve built their initial success through platforms like Instagram and Facebook question the validity or need for something like SEO-Marketing because of the perceived amount of time, energy, and potential overwhelm they feel might come with it.

We convince ourselves that it’s “easy” to write a quick post, make a short story, and carry on with our day. This section will help you see the difference between evergreen and social media content with REAL data.

SEO Marketing is like investing in your business yearly, collecting compounded interest in your efforts. Social media posts are like a one-time payment with no guarantee of return.

The average lifespan of a tweet is 18 minutes, and that number is only getting smaller as the platform continues to grow. This means that social media content has a very short shelf-life, and its value expires quickly. SEO Marketing, on the other hand, is much more valuable because it’s evergreen.

SEO content will continue to bring traffic and leads to your business long after it’s been published.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving! Invest in SEO Marketing, and you’ll be reaping the benefits for years.

Suppose you’re planning on staying on social media forever. In that case, you’re committing yourself to a lifestyle where you will always need to feed the machine of social media algorithms with new content.

This time-consuming and complex task will only become more challenging as you try to maintain a consistent presence across multiple platforms.

And if you’re not planning on being the one to manage it all, you’ll have to allocate a monthly budget to pay someone else on your team to do it for you, always eating into your company profit.

If you’re not prepared to commit, you’re better off investing your time and energy into SEO Marketing. It may take a little longer to see results, but the return on investment will be worth it in the long run.

SEO Marketing is a long-term investment that will pay off for years to come. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

How much value can ONE post bring you? Imagine what it would be like to spend 2-hours writing, researching, and recording one piece of content that continuously GROWS more reach, visibility, and engagement every month over TWO YEARS.

Content strategically connected to your other blog posts, YouTube videos, or podcast episodes beautifully feeds into one another, keeping your audience engaged and enamored by the immense value you’ve provided.

That is the joy of compounded growth from SEO-based content, which, unlike its counterpart that burns fast and disappears in a matter of days or weeks, lasts a lifetime.

This isn’t to say that social media marketing has no place in your business, but it definitely shouldn’t be the ONLY place you market your business.

Evergreen marketing styles stand the test of time and are always relevant. They are the cornerstone of SEO and should be the foundation of your online presence. Here are some examples of evergreen marketing styles:

  • instructional articles (e.g., how-tos)
  • listicles (e.g., top 10 lists)
  • infographics
  • case studies
  • ebooks

Creating evergreen content will help you build a solid online presence because:

  • it has lasting value, so people will continue to read it year after year
  • it ranks well in search engines, so people can easily find it
  • it establishes you as an expert in your field
  • it positions you as a thought leader
  • it builds trust with your audience

To build a solid online presence, focus on creating evergreen content instead of socially shareable content. While social media is essential, the constant cycles of creating new content, fighting for attention, and algorithm changes make it difficult to sustain long-term relationships with your audiences. Evergreen content will help position you as an expert in your field, build trust with your audience, and improve your visibility in search engines—without draining your creative energy.

While social media is certainly important, if you want to take your business to the next level, you must also start paying attention to SEO. Search Engine Optimization is no longer a “nice-to-have”; it’s a necessity.

And contrary to popular belief, SEO is not some dark art only understood by a select few. Nor is it something that you can just “wing” like you can with social media. In fact, with a little bit of research and planning, SEO can be easy peasy!

Here are a few tips to get you started…

SEO Marketing Step #1: Perform Keyword Research

The first step in any solid SEO marketing plan is keyword research. Keyword research is essential because it allows you to identify the phrases and words people use to find businesses like yours online.

Once you know what keywords to target, you can optimize your website and content around those keywords so that your business shows up in search results when people search for what you offer.

You can use several different methods and tools to perform keyword research, but one of the simplest (and most effective) is to use Google’s AdWords Keyword Planner tool.

This tool is designed for businesses that want to run Google Ads, but it can also be used for keyword research. All you need to do is enter a seed keyword—a broad term related to your business—and the Keyword Planner will generate a list of related keywords along with data on each keyword’s monthly search volume and competition level.

Once you have your list of keywords, it’s time to move on to step two…

SEO Marketing Step #2: Optimize Your Website for SEO

Now that you know which keywords to target, it’s time optimize your website so that Google (and other search engines) know what your website is about and can rank it accordingly in search engine results pages.

There are several different things you can do to optimize your website for SEO, including:

  • Adding titles and descriptions to each page of your website
  • Using relevant keywords throughout your website’s copy
  • Optimizing your website’s images by adding ALT text
  • Creating an XML sitemap
  • Adding social sharing buttons to each blog post or web page
  • Submitting your website to directories
  • Building backlinks from high-quality websites

Doing all these things may seem like a lot of work, but trust me—it’ll be worth it when your website starts ranking higher in SERPs and getting more traffic.

The Goal is to create a business that GIVES YOU the time freedom AND profit margins you desire that fully align with your company values.

Without the toxic and problematic systems that have been unconsciously passed down for generations.

Hi we’re Soph & Mel!  (Your Automation Advocates)

Co-Founders of The Online business automator™ & The Sacred CEO® AgencY

As veteran business owners with a combined 15+ years of experience in the online space and a plethora of financial success scaling multi 6 figure brands online, we know a thing or two about the toxic side of entrepreneurship without systems.

We believe in taking an Intersectional Feminist approach to online business growth.

(without the virtue signaling & problematic practices. 😉)

Believe us when we say, WE GET IT.

Our companies have generated a combined $2M in revenue in the past six years – but that was NOT all profit nor the glamorous laptop lifestyle we envisioned.

Can you relate?

  • The quicker we scaled, work anywhere became WORK EVERYWHERE, and no matter where we were in the world, it felt like we were ALWAYS putting out fires.
  • Launch after Launch may have been wildly profitable, but we hardly knew a life outside social media. (The toxic trait of a personal brand is EVERYTHING in our personal lives HAS to relate to our business.)
  • Our calendars were FULL – we didn’t know what fundamental spaciousness felt like.
  • If we weren’t selling on IG & FB, we were either working with clients or planning the next launch.
  • OVERWHELM and ANXIETY were the norms; we could NOT survive without multiple cups of coffee because our nervous systems were in overdrive.

Without taking the time to properly set up the systems (and support) on the backend, this type of quantum growth only does two things:

Let’s change that, shall we?

A less "sexy" (and more nourishing)
path to scaling

Since 2020, Mel & I have made massive changes to the way we build and scale our businesses online, including:

  • Breaking up with live launch models by focusing on evergreen products and services that allow us to generate revenue year-round.
  • Divorcing Facebook & Instagram personal brand marketing and shifting to a referral-based business model rooted in value, results, and high-value relationships (Mel’s last IG post was in June 2020 @mel_judson).
  • Fully automating sales, onboarding, and client delivery processes getting hundreds of hours back every year.
  • Leveraging our websites and professional branding assets as the central hub for all transactions.
  • Honing our email marketing, list building, and SEO-marketing practices have allowed us to grow our audiences on autopilot.
  • Simplifying our business models by eliminating unnecessary processes, practices, or products, freeing up hours of our time each week to focus on what matters most to us.
  • Refining our core offerings through comprehensive analysis allows us to make data-driven decisions about pricing, scalability, and client capacity.

We'd be delighted to share this with you completely free.
